JOYNER’S FUNERAL IS HELD Funeral services were held last Sunday at the Holland funeral chapel for Robert Henry Joyner, 74, known better as "Bob Jack," who died last Friday night at his home in the Hunterdale community after an illness of several months. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery in Franklin. Officiating ministers were the Rev. Clyde Fields, pastor of the Union Christian Church, the Rev. R.D. Stephenson, former pastor of the Franklin Baptist Church, and the Rev. R.E. Brittle, also a former pastor. He was the son of the late Elisha J. and Indiana Bracy Joyner, of Southampton County. A member of the Union Christian Church since childhood, which he served as Sunday school superintendent, and deacon. He is survived by his wife; Mrs. Dana Munford Joyner, and two sons; Robert Henry Joyner, Jr., and Fred C. Joyner, all of Franklin; one sister, Miss Minnie Joyner, of Franklin; also several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were C.C. Vaughan, III, Leroy Allen, W. Hunter Scott, Vernard Scott, Earl Blankenship, Leigh Pace, W. Tall Jones, and Shelly M. Joyner.
