SALLIE E.F. JOYNER Mrs. Sallie Elizabeth Forrest Joyner, 75, well known resident of Courtland, died Wednesday, June 2, at Raiford Memorial Hospital, Franklin, after an illness of several years. She was the daughter of the late John and Elmira Joyner Forrest, of Southampton County, and widow of Euclid Joyner, of Southampton County. She was a member of Sebrell Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, J.R. Joyner, of Courtland; two daughters, Mrs. S.P. Laine, of Wakefield, and Mrs. T.E. Crisp, of Norfolk; one step-daughter, Mrs. Luther Edwards of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 4:30 from the Sebrell Methodist Church by the pastor, the Rev. C.A. McCormick. Interment will be in Sebrell Cemetery.
