Holland & Sons Funeral Chapel by Dr. R.E. Brittle and the Rev. Clyde Fields. Burial will be Poplar Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be sent to Hunterdale United Church of Christ. Pallbearers will be Stanley Johnson, J.G. Joyner, Jr., Chester Burgess, Thomas Grizzard, R.H. Joyner, Steve Hornok, Vivian Harrell, and Wesley Wills. Joyner, 69, a retired farmer, died Tuesday afternoon in Southampton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Mrs. Margaret Scott Joyner and a son of Matthew Lee and Mrs. Josephine Holland Joyner. A native of Southampton County, he was a member of Hunterdale United Church of Christ, a past superintendent of its Sunday school, and an honorary deacon. Besides his widow, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edwin Beale of Franklin and Mrs. Allen Wentz Jr. of Leesburg; a sister, Miss Kate Joyner of Franklin; and five grandchildren.
