Thomas Jackson Joyner, Sr., age 88, died March 12, 1974. Survived by three daughters, Mrs. Winifred Skinner and Mrs. Jacqueline Abernathy, both of Emporia and Miss Betsy Joyner of Purceville; two sons, Thomas J. Joyner, Jr. and Benjamin R. Joyner, both of Emporia; six grandchildren, Mrs. Paula Ligon, Richmond, Miss Leah Kay Abernathy, Emporia, Wallace, Wayne and Wynn Skinner and Willis Abernathy, all of Emporia. Remains rest at Echols Funeral Home, Emporia, where funeral services will be conducted, with interment in Capron Cemetery.
