JOYNER IVOR - A funeral service for William M. Joyner was conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Tucker Swamp Baptist Church by the Rev. Grover C. Holder and the Rev. Waverly Horne. Burial was in the church cemetery with Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield in charge. Pallbearers were Walter Raiford, Edgar Felts, Roger Britt, Herman Wake, Milton Babb, Buck Harrup. A.J. Bulls and Ben Munford. Joyner, 80, died Sunday morning in a Suffolk nursing home. A native of Southampton County, he was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. He was a son of Willie Lee and Mrs. Anna Wellons Joyner and the husband of Mrs. Della Mae Brown Joyner. Besides his widow, surviving are a foster son, James L. Joyner of Zuni; a foster daughter, Mrs. J.B. Lowe of Ivor; and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Boyers of Norfolk.
