Mr. Joyner was the husband of Victoria Burgess Joyner and son of the late Matthew (1829 - 17 Feb 1881) and Elizabeth Bryant Joyner, of this county. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Q.T. Bryant, of Suffolk, and Mrs. George Harrup, of Boykins; two sons, N.P. Joyner, of Southampton County, and N.E. Joyner, of Franklin; a brother, J.O. Joyner, of Sedley, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Joyner was a member of Nottaway Chapel Methodist Church in Southampton County. The body was removed to the funeral home of W.J.M. Holland & Sons in Franklin, where funeral services will be held Tuesday with the Rev. B.B. Bland, pastor of Franklin Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
