Until forced to leave active business pursuits because of failing health, Mr. Joyner was engaged in business, both in Virginia and Georgia, the majority of the time being identified with the peanut industry. Funeral services were conducted at the grave in Riverside Cemetery in Courtland on Monday by the Rev. W.W. Beasley, assisted by the Rev. John B. Isom. A selected choir sang "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "In the Sweet Bye and Bye." Mr. Joyner was a member of Whitehead Methodist Church. Pallbearers were C.W. Parker, R.G. Edwards, Robbie Bryant, Fred Barker, William Joyner and Marvin P. Sebrell. Besides a number of friends he is survived by one sister, Miss Annie Mae Joyner of Courtland, and three brothers, E.H. and J.L. Joyner of Courtland and Prof. F.T. Joyner of Ivor and a number of nieces and nephews. William Thomas JOYNER, businessman b. 1 Jan 1882, d. 19 Sep 1942, Richmond, interred in Riverside Cemetery (Sect.
