William F. McMahan in Riverview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Kirkland, Lloyd Burgess, David Johnson, Carroll Barnes, Luther Bryant and Emmett Vaughan. A native of Southampton County, Joyner was the son of the late William B. and Mrs. Virginia Britt Joyner. He was a member of Vincents Grove United Methodist Church and a retired farmer and construction worker. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Burgess of Courtland and Mrs. Maggie Branche of Franklin; and a number of nieces and nephew. McDowell Funeral Home in Boykins was in charge of funeral arrangements.
