Jarratt, died Wednesday morning in Greensville Memorial Hospital after a short illness. A lifelong resident of Drewryville community, she was a daughter of James Edward and the late Mrs. Ada Lee Maitland Wells. She was a member of Adams Grove Baptist Church. Besides her father, of Drewryville, surviving are four sons, Waverly R. Jarratt, Jr., of Capron and Edward C. Jarratt, William Thomas Jarratt and Benjamin Jarratt of Drewryville; a daughter, Miss Virginia Mae Jarratt of Drewryville; three brothers, Robert Lee Wells of Warfield, Va., Carson L. Wells of Petersburg and Richard B. Wells, USAF; two sisters, Mrs. George Babb of Courtland and Mrs. R.E. Newton of Stony Creek; and a grandchild. A funeral service was conducted Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Drewryville Cemetery by the Rev. Dalphson J. Thompson of Adams Grove Baptist Church.
