NOLAND LEVERSON JORDAN

   Noland L. Jordan, 69, died Sunday afternoon at Kecoughtan Veterans Hospital 
after several months of declining health.

   A native of Franklin, he had lived at Churchland the past 10 years.  His 
wife was the late Ruth Norfleet Jordan.

   Surviving are eight sons, Jesse W. Jordan of Detroit, Mich.;  Merritt H. 
Jordan of Franklin, James L. Jordan and William H. Jordan of Churchland, James 
E. Jordan of Tazewell, Marion L. Jordan of Arnold, Md.; Garland C. Jordan of 
Newburgh, N.Y., and Donald R. Jordan of Smithfield; three daughters, Mrs. W.E. 
Worrell of Franklin, Mrs. Roy Turner of Carrsville and Miss Shirley Ann Jordan 
of Churchland, and eight grandchildren.

   A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Holland Funeral Chapel 
by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins of Franklin Baptist Church and the Rev. Edwin C. 
Thornton of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, with burial in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
