All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ CORA MAE FLEMMING JERNIGAN Mrs. Cora Mae Jernigan, 71, widow of Eddie Cross Jernigan, 71, widow of Eddie Cross Jernigan, died at 6 o’clock Tuesday evening September 16, as the result of injuries sustained in an accidental fall at her home on Walnut Street, Franklin. She is survived by a granddaughter, Mrs. Mildred Brinkley of Suffolk. Funeral services were conducted at the residence on Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock by Revs. R.D. Stephenson and Ira D. Hudgins. Interment was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dr. J.P. Broaddus, Maxie R. Day, R.J. Howell, Jesse McClenny, Sam Mitchell, Daniel T. Rideout, George O. Watkins and R.L. Wellons.
