All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MARY JANE HANCOCK KITCHEN Mrs. Mary Jane Kitchen of Norfolk, who died in that city last Saturday, was buried Tuesday afternoon, February 1, at 1 o’clock in the old family burying ground near Vicksville, this county. She was the widow of the late W.H.* Kitchen, who preceded her to the grave ten years ago, and is survived by five children, Mrs. Carrie Spiers, Mrs. Alice Simmons, Misses Bessie and Lily Kitchen and W.H. Kitchen, all of Norfolk, and by four brothers, B.W. Hancock of Surry Court House, J.Q. Hancock of Dory, J.T. Hancock of Wakefield and R.L. Hancock of Newport News. She was a good, true Christian woman and will be greatly missed in the family circle and by her many friends. The pallbearers were H.P. Beale, M.H. Doyle, W.S. Morris, Henry Lane, Junius and Alex Bradshaw.
