A native of Southampton County and the daughter of the late John Hinton and Blanche Williams Kitchen. She was retired from the State Health Department; a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church; and taught Sunday School until recently. She was a member of Southampton Historical Society. Surviving are two sisters, Miss Irene Kitchen, of Courtland and Mrs. Gibson Thomas, of Poquoson, Va.; three nieces; and three nephews. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. graveside, Riverside Cemetery by Rev. Currie Carter. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, in charge of arrangements.
