Keeter, 74, died early Tuesday in his home on Middle Street. He was a son of A.O. and Mrs. Maggie Keeter of Halifax County, N.C. A retired employee of Union Bag-Camp Corp., he was a member of Franklin Lodge 51 Knights of Pythias, and Veterans of World War I. He is survived by his widow Mrs. Ora Lee Johnson Keeter, a son, W.F. Keeter, Jr., of Franklin, a daughter, Mrs. Eileen Sinclair of New York City; three brothers, P.L. Keeter of Walters, C.O. Keeter of Carrsville and Marvin Keeter of Jamesburg, N.J.; two sisters, Mrs. H.B. Franklin of Bellingham, Wash., and Mrs. Otis Lamb of Jamesburg, and a granddaughter, Miss Virginia Lee Keeter of Franklin. A funeral service will be conducted today, Thursday, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Son Funeral Home by the Rev. William A. Grissom of Windsor Christian Church and Dr. William T. Scott of Chuckatuck Christian Church.
