Dr. S. B. Kello, a prominent physician and planter of Southampton, and one of the most honored citizens of the county, died quite suddenly Sunday at his resi- dence a few miles from Ivor. His age was about sixty-five years. No man was better known and more generally beloved in the South-Side section than Dr. Kello. He was the type of the Virginia gentleman- the very soul of honor, courteous to all, and generous to a fault. His house was the scene of genuine hospitality which was ex- tended to all. Dr. Kello leaves a widow and several children. Some of the children are in the far West.
