Kales was conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Robert E. Davis of Emanuel Episcopal Church. W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Directors were in charge. Pallbearers were Sidney Pollard, Henry Abbitt, J. Pretlow, Pretlow Darden, William Woodley and R.A. Pretlow. Kales, 59, the husband of Mrs. Elizabeth Abbitt Kales, formerly of Norfolk, died Thursday in York (Pa.) Hospital. He was the son of the late Albert M. and Mrs. Anna Bradley Kales of Illinois. Besides his widow, surviving are a son, Albert M. Kales Jr., and two daughters, Ann P. Kales and Ellen D. Kales, all of York; and two sisters, Mrs. Frances H. Straus of Chicago and Mrs. Miles A. Cowels of Three Rivers, Mich. Mrs. Kales the former Elizabeth Abbitt is the daughter of Mrs. Annie B. Abbitt and a sister of John D.
