A. E. E. KNIGHT Whereas our Heavenly Father has removed from the earthly associations, and activities, the soul of sister A.E.E. Knight, who on the 11th day of March 1908 died at the residence of her son-in-law, Jos. B. Crocker in the town of Franklin, Va., and whereas we feel that the influence and impress of her Christian character have been so marked, that it is due those who aspire to a high standard of spiritual life to recount some of the relationships which she so faithfully filled in her life of devotion and love to her Master, we are privileged to take some of the experiences from the history of her religious live. After her conversion at the age of 12 years she became a devoted and active member of Great Fork Baptist Church; and for thirty-five years she continued her active zeal in the furtherance of the extension of its Christian influence. She, afterwards, on the organization of Eureka Baptist Church, on a letter from Great Fork, became a member of that church, and excited a devotion and active zeal which today are felt and acknowledged as establishing and maintaining a high standard of Christian life throughout her entire church. Her last year were spent in loyal service to her Maker as a faithful member of Franklin Baptist church. Till physically unable, she was a regular attendant, not only at the church service, but she took pleasure in her membership of the Sunday School. She died a she had lived, full of confidence in the reward vouchsafed to her by Him, whom she had to faithfully served and trusted. Resolved that in the life of Sister Knight was exemplified, as worthy of the guide of those whose purpose in the attainment of a high and bright Christian character, the peace and contentment that reward such service. And we see in her death only a release from all earthly ties and physical affliction to the enjoyment of a happy immortality with her Savior. Resolved that these resolutions he spread on the records of our church and a copy be forwarded to her family. L.R. Edwards, J.P. Gay, E.S.
