BARRY WAYNE KENDRICK 

   A funeral service for Barry Wayne Kendrick was conducted at 2:30 p.m. 
Monday in Franklin Baptist Church by Dr. Ira D. Hudgins.  Burial was in Poplar 
Spring Cemetery with W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home in charge.

   Pallbearers were Vaughan Edwards, Robert I. Beale, C.J. Sykes, Elliott 
Cobb, Williner Drewry, Joe King and Jack Farmer.

   Barry Kendrick, 8, drowned Saturday near Poplar Spring Cemetery when he 
fell through thin ice covering a pond while trying to retrieve a basketball.

   His brother, Donnie 9, also fell through the ice but managed to survive.

   A native of Franklin, he was the son of Mrs. Eunice B. Kendrick and was a 
member of Franklin Baptist Church.

   Besides his mother and brother, he is survived by three sisters, Pam 
Kendrick, Debbie Kendrick and Dona Kendrick.
