He was a native of Southampton County and a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a member of the Newsoms United Methodist Church, and was employed by the St. Regis Paper Co. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lena Newsome Lee; a son, Bobby W. Lee, both of Newsoms, a sister, Mrs. Frances L. Bradshaw, a step- mother, Mrs. Callie B. Lee and a step-sister, Mrs. Lottie Bryant, all of Portsmouth; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3 P.M. in the McDowell Funeral Home, Boykins, Va., with burial in the Newsoms Cemetery.
