All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ EDWARD PARKER LOWE FRANKLIN - Edward Parker Lowe, 74, farmer of the Franklin community, died at Raiford Memorial Hospital Tuesday afternoon. He was the husband of Mrs. Laura Mason West Lowe and the son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Laura Mattie Lewis Lowe. He was a native of Southampton County and member of the Black Creek Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Guy B. Lowe of Franklin and Westmoreland Lowe of Disputanta, five grandchildren and four brothers, A.H. Lowe and Franklin McCoy Lowe of Wakefield, Luke Lowe of Ivor, and M.H. Lowe of Zuni, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted today (Thursday) at 2:30 p.m. at the Holland Funeral Chapel, by the Rev. Len B. Allen, pastor of the Black Creek Baptist church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Lowe, Haywood Lowe, Alvin Lowe, Vernon Lowe, A.C. Lowe, Winston Lowe, Franklin Lowe and Earl Drewry.
