All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Sedley Woman Dies At Banquet Mrs. Margaret Corbitt Lowe, aged 45, of the Sedley community, died suddenly of a heart attack Thursday night while the Sedley Parent-Teacher Association, of which she was president, was serving a banquet to the Franklin Lions Club in the Friends meeting house in Sedley. She apparently was in good health before the attack, which lasted but a few minutes. She was wife of Luther A. Lowe of Sedley and daughter of Robert Lee and Nannie Rebecca Corbitt of Southampton County. A member of Black Creek Baptist Church, she taught the L.L.L. Sunday School Class there for many years. Surviving, besides her parents and husband, are one daughter, Mary Ellen Lowe, of Sedley; four sisters, Mrs. Annie May Drewry and Mrs. Birdie Carr, of Zuni; Mrs. Abbie Bridgers, of Norfolk; and Mrs. E.L. Reid, of Richmond; and six brothers, the Rev. William Henry Corbitt, of Apex, N.C.; the Rev. Rufus H. Corbitt, of Collosse; Robert Corbitt, of Pensacola, Fla.; Charles Corbitt, of Nashville, Tenn.; James Corbitt, of Newport News, and Gurley Corbitt, of Zuni.
