Holland & Sons Funeral Chapel by the Rev. C.L. Gatling and the Rev. Felix Arnold. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Hurley Edwards, J.C. Joyner, Ashley Vaughan, Charles Darden, Herman Eley, Curtis Cole, Alfred Faison and Harvey Darden. Lowe, 54, died Monday in Southampton Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Southampton County, he was a farmer. He was the husband of Mrs. Eunice Holt Lowe and a son of Mrs. Lula West Lowe and the late Edward Parker Lowe. He was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church, Woodman of the World Chapter 18, Forks of the River Ruritan Club and Hickory Hunt Club. Besides his widow and mother, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Joan Raiford of Franklin and Mrs. Patricia Padgett of Holland; a brother, West Lowe of Hopewell; and five grandchildren.
