Mrs. Lula R. Lowe

IVOR - Mrs. Lula Raiford Lowe, 82, died Sunday at 3 p.m. in Petersburg nursing 
home after a short illness.

A native of Southampton County, she was a daughter of Henry and Mrs. Martha E. 
Raiford and widow of William S. Lowe.  She was a member of Corinth Friends 
Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Roy R. Bradshaw of Franklin, Mrs. R. 
Herman Barnes of Ivor and Mrs. John H. Hill of Norfolk; four sons, William K. 
Lowe of Courtland, Russell L. Lowe of Wakefield, Marshall T. Lowe and Jesse L. 
Lowe of Ivor; a sister, Mrs. Mollie R. Powell of Franklin; 17 grandchildren; 
and 26 great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield.  A funeral service 
will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Corinth Friends Church by Rev. James A. 
Coney.  Burial will be in the Lowe Family Cemetery near Ivor.  The body will 
be taken to the church at noon.
