All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ROSA VIRGINIA DREWRY LOWE Mrs. Rose Virginia Drewry Lowe, 82, well-known resident of the South Quay community, died Friday morning, October 14, at Raiford Memorial Hospital after an illness of several weeks. She was the widow of Quinton B. Lowe and the daughter of the late John T. and Mrs. Mary Councill Drewry of Southampton County. She was one of the oldest members of Black Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are four sons, William Edward Lowe, John Lowe, Harvey Lowe and Fenton Lowe, all of Franklin; three daughters, Mrs. Edie Turner of Carrsville, Mrs. Mary Cutchins and Mrs. Mae Joyner, both of Franklin; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, John Drewry of Sedley; one sister Mrs. Susie Bryant of Portsmouth, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of the W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home Sunday at 2 p.m. by Rev. Robert P. Chappell, pastor of South Quay Baptist Church, and Rev. Ira D. Hudgins, pastor of the Franklin Baptist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Edward Sykes, McKinley Drewry, Irvin Porter, Charles Stradley, Lewis Carr, James Darden, Elton Stephenson and Lloyd Duck. Rosa Virginia (DREWRY; Mrs. Quinton B.)
