All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ WILLIE EDWARD LOWE Willie Edward (Tance) Lowe age 68 years, retired receiving clerk at St. Regis Paper Company, died early June 13 from heart attack in Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church, and the men's bible class. He was the husband of Mrs. Nellie Cutchin Lowe, and the son of the late Quinton and Rose V. Drewry Lowe, of Southampton County. Surviving besides his wife are; three daughters, Mrs. Doris L. Porter, Mrs. Nellie L. Stradley, and Mrs. Willie L. Porter, all of Franklin. Four grandchildren; three brothers; Fenton Lowe, John Lowe, and Harvey Lowe, all of Franklin; three sisters; Mrs. Evie Turner, Carrsville, Mrs. Mary Joyner and Mrs. Mary Cutchin, all of Franklin. Funeral services were at Holland Funeral Chapel Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins, pastor and Rev. C.J. Brenner, assistant pastor of the Franklin Baptist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Emmett Scott, C.M. Drewry, Alex Vargo, Willie Clark, James A. Surace, J. Willard Beale, and J.W. Sumner.
