All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ALICE BRADSHAW LIVSIE Mrs. Alice Bradshaw Livsie age 91, died Saturday afternoon in Hillcrest Nursing Home, Suffolk, Virginia after an lingering illness for many months. She was the widow of Thomas Jackson Livsie, and the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson, and Martha Beaton Bradshaw, of Southampton County. She was a native of Southampton County. She was the oldest member of the Beaver Dam Baptist Church, and the Woman Missionary Circle, which she was very active until recent years. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Clara Worrell, of Newsoms and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held from the Beaver Dam Baptist Church Monday at 2 p.m., by her pastor the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, Jr. and the Rev. Allen Lawrence, pastor of the Newsoms Baptist Church. Burial was made in church cemetery. The body was taken from the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home in Franklin, and was placed in church one hour prior to service. Active pallbearers were, Kenneth G. Howell, A.R. Butler, Jr., Jack W. Holland, Matthew Duke, Joel C.
