Born in Bath County, Va., she was a daughter of the late Robert G. and Florence Moore McGuffin and the widow of Leroy "Roy" Livesay. A former secretary at Union Camp Corp., she also worked in the business office of Southampton Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Grace Memorial United Methodist Church, Franklin Woman's Club and the United Methodist Women. Survivors include four daughters, Sheila L. Jackson of Greenville, S.C., Tobey L. Edwards and her husband, Gene, of Sedley, Mary L. Hunter and her husband, Alton, of Savannah, Ga., and Rebecca L. Simmons and her husband, Curt, of Richmond; a son, Michael L. Livesay and his wife, Sylvia, of Virginia Beach; 11 grandchildren, Vince and Evan Harris, Ambra and Andrew Bridges, Renee and Michael Edwards, Jennifer and John Bolt III, Robin Livesay, Casey Barrows, and Becka Simmons; and eight great-grandchildren, Ryan Vann, Colby and Mandi Edwards, Michael, Mason and Michele Vanfossen, Elizabeth Bolt and Joshua Alan Bridges. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Moore McGuffin, and four brothers, Ralph, Junior, Randolph and Herbert McGuffin. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Grace Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. James M. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Wright Funeral Home, and suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Grace Memorial UMC, P.O.
