Mr. Leigh was a retired postmaster and magistrate. He was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, an Army veteran of WWII, and past president of the Drewryville Ruritan Club. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby Johnson Leigh; one son, George W. Leigh, Jr., Virginia Beach; one half-brother, Peter Thomas, Drewwyville; and two grandchildren. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Drewryville Cemetery by the Rev. Travis McCord and Glen Langston. Memorial donations may be made to the Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, Drewryville. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin is handling arrangements.
