All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MARY CAROLINE LEIGH Mrs. Mary Caroline Leigh, wife of the late Richard Leigh and daughter of the late Louis and Mrs. Caroline Bryant Thorpe, died at her home in Richmond Saturday, October 27. Having been in failing health for years and recently growing more feeble her death was not a surprise to friends and loved ones. She is survived by one daughter, Miss Elizabeth Leigh of Richmond, who has been her constant companion and devoted nurse since the death of an older daughter, Mary*, many years ago. Mrs. Leigh is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Nannie Fiers and a brother, T.W. Thorpe, besides a number of nieces and nephews and other family connections in this county, where she was born and reared and spent all of her early life.
