C.L. Gatling. Burial was in Black Creek Church Cemetery with W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, in charge. Pallbearers were Charlie Holland, A.E. Drewry, Haywood Barrett, Boyd Barrett, Mills Barrett Jr. and Charles L. Bulls. Mrs. Lewis, 73, died Monday at 5 p.m. in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of Robert Linwood Lewis and a daughter of James K. and Mrs. Anna Mae Carr Wade. She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, James Robert Lewis of Courtland; two daughters, Mrs. P.D. Dunalow and Mrs. Carlton Ellis of Zuni; a brother, L.L. Wade, and a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Brown, both of Franklin; 12 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. "Mamie" Mary Ann Blanche (WADE; Mrs Robert L.)
