VOLKER WALTER LUETHY DIES IN HAMPTON Dr. V. Walter Luethy, 57, a Peninsula area physician, died Wednesday in a Hampton hosptial after a long illness. An ear, nose and throat specialist, Dr. Luethy had practiced in the Hampton- Newport News area since 1956. Dr. Luethy had a medical degree from the University of Wurzburg, West Germany, and had specialized, studying at the University of Chicago and Columbia University. Dr. Luethy is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances Hill Luethy, a son, Reudiger, and a daughter, Martina, all of Newport News; his mother, Mrs. Carla Luethy, and a brother, Dr. Siegfred Luethy of Aschaffenburg, West Germany. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, with burial at 3 p.m. Sunday in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland.
