JOSEPH LEE LITTLE

   Joseph Lee Little, 28, a resident of Franklin for the past two years died 
in hospital in Norfolk, on Thursday morning, September 24.

   The deceased was a son of Jesse L. and Dora Lee Little of Pleasant Hill, 
N.C., and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill.  He was an 
employee of W.H. Scott, Inc., of Franklin.

   A veteran of World War II, Mr. Little served in the Marine Corps, with more 
than two years of duty in Europe.

   Besides his parents he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lizzie Francis Little, 
and one son, Shelton Dean Little, both of Franklin; one brother, James Lewis 
Little of Pleasant Hill; and five sisters; Rebecca Little Edwards, Miss 
Mildred Lucille Little, Miss Irene Virginia Little, Miss Berlie Lee Little all 
of Pleasant Hill, N.C.

   Funeral services for Mr. Little were held on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 
o’clock in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons, with Rev. Clyde L. Fields, 
pastor of the Hunterdale Christian Church, officiating.  Burial was in Poplar 
Spring Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Herbert Francis, Jesse Francis, George Little, Vernon 
Little, Willard Little, William Vick, F.W. Webb and Jim Webb.
