He was a member of the Ivor Baptist Church. Surviving him are four brothers, B.L. and R.C. Luter of Suffolk, D.F. Luter of Richmond, and G.W. Luter of Hawaii; and two half-brothers, C.E. Luter of Suffolk and W.H. Luter of Zuni. Funeral services were conducted at the Ivor Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock by Revs. J.L. Kibier and Scott Hutton. Interment was in the Millfield Cemetery, the active pallbearers being Winston Camp, Archie Gardner, J.T. Faircloth, Sr., Grover Niblett, Douglas Pulley and Marsden Pulley. Members of the Baraca Men’s Bible class were honorary pallbearers.
