Ben Duffy. W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were George W. Lane, Walter White Cobb, James D. Lane Jr., R. Stuart Baldwin, J.L. Close, H.A. Purnell, Jesse A. Weed Jr. and William P. Wiseman. Mrs. Lane, 71, died Sunday morning in her home on Clay Street. A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of George Jordan Lane and a daughter of Robert E. and Mrs. Mary Cobb Leigh. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, American Kennel Club, and was a director of the Dalmatian Club of American. Surviving are a brother, Walter W. Leigh of Franklin; and nieces and nephews. Mary (LEIGH; Mrs. George J.)
