Lamb, 69, prominent farmer of the Capron community died at Lakeview Hospital Monday morning after an illness of three weeks, although his health had been failing for may years. He was an active and faithful member and deacon of the Capron Baptist Church and always gave willingly of his means to its causes. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from his church by his pastor, the Rev. A.W. Coates, assisted by the Rev. R.E. Brittle of the Bethlehem Christian Church. Interment was in the Capron cemetery. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Rena Whitehead Lamb; two sons, John L. Lamb of Durham, N.C., and George E. Lamb of Capron; seven daughters, Mrs. H.E. McCann of Crewe, Mrs. J. Pressly Byrd of Suffolk, Mrs. C.F. Parker and Mrs. R.F. Parker of Capron, Mrs. J.R. Jordan of Courtland and Misses Mae Lamb of Williamsburg and Willie Lamb of Durham; two brothers, W.R. Lamb of Portsmouth and Maynard Lamb of Boykins; one sister, Mrs. J.D. Vick of Courtland, and a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. ****************************************************************************** IN MEMORIAM In loving memory of our dear husband and father, B.F.
