He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. William Taylor of Branchville, one granddaughter and one sister, Mrs. Jesse D. Vick, of Courtland. Mr. Lamb was a prominent farmer of the Capron community and for the past fifteen years had been a deacon of Hebron Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Funeral services were held at the home near Capron Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. J. Bailey Jones of Drewryville officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Mr. Lyons. The choir of Hebron church furnished the music and used the following selections: "What A Friend We Have in Jesus," "In the Sweet Bye and Bye," and "It Is Well with My Soul." Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family. Active pallbearers were Percy Ellis, Otis Davis, Collis Davis, Howard Simmons, James Turner, George Turner and Curry Flythe. The unusually large attendance at the services and the profusion of flowers showed in what high esteem Mr. Lamb was held in his community. Burial was in Capron cemetery.
