CHARLES ROBERT LANKFORD

   GULFPORT, MISS. - Charles Robert Lankford, 46, died Wednesday morning in a 
Gulfport hospital.

   He was married to Mrs. Ilma [sic*] Hart Lankford of Gulfport and was a son 
of the late John Robert and Mrs. Mary Vaughan Lankford of Franklin, Va.

   Lankford was a native of Franklin and had been living in Venezuela for 
several years as an employee with the Creole Petroleum Co.

   Surviving besides his wife, are two sons, Charles Lankford, Jr. [sic*], and 
Jarvis Lankford, and one daughter, Janice Lankford, all of Gulfport.

   A funeral service was conducted at Rieman Funeral Home, Gulfport, Friday at 
10 a.m.

His wife was Ilva Marcelle (HART) LANKFORD. 

His eldest son was John Robert LANKFORD, III. 

The middle child was daughter Janice Ilva (LANKFORD; Mrs. Pete) HOUSE; 
   the youngest, Jarvis Hart LANKFORD. 

Charles' parents, John Robert {1889-1930} and Mary P. (VAUGHAN) LANKFORD 
   {1880-1956} are buried in Poplar Spring Cemetery (Section 2, Plot 2A),
