Holland and Sons Funeral Home by Dr. R.E. Brittle. Burial was in Poplar Spring cemetery. Pallbearers were Harvey Lankford Jr., D.C. Blythe, Braxton Holcombe, J.E. Griffin Jr., Richard Cutchins and Wesley Wills. A lifetime resident of Southampton County, she was the widow of Reggie Ralston Lankford and a daughter of John H. and Mrs. Martha Cobb Griffin. She was a member of Bethel Friends Meeting House. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. H.B. Free, Charleston, S.C.; two sons, James Thurman Lankford, Edensberg, Pa. and Norman Griffin Lankford of Franklin, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Julia Cobb (GRIFFIN; Mrs. Reggie R.)
