All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MARY VAUGHAN LANKFORD MRS, MARY VAUGHAN LANKFORD Mrs. Mary Vaughan Lankford (Miss Mollie), 76*, well-known resident of Franklin, died Wednesday, August 29, in Patrick Henry Hospital after a short illness. Until recently she had made her home on South High Street, Franklin. She was the widow of John Robert Lankford of Franklin, and the daughter of the late Randall and Matilda Gardner Vaughan of Isle of Wight County. She was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church. Surviving are one son, Charles Robert Lankford, of Cabimas, Venezuela, S. A., two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow (Friday) at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the W. J. M. Holland and Sons Funeral home with Rev. Ira D. Hudgins, pastor of the Franklin Baptist Church, and Rev. R. D. Stephenson, a former pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers, all nephews of the deceased, will be Reginald, John, William, Randall, Clyde and Garland Vaughan. Mary Palatine "Miss Mollie" (VAUGHAN; Mrs. J.
