OLIVER GRANT LANKFORD 

   Oliver Grant Lankford, 84*, a life-long resident and retired farmer of this 
county, died at the home on Walnut Street of his daughter, Mrs. H.A. Blythe, 
on Friday morning, August 8, after many months of illness.

   The deceased was the husband of the late Mrs. Effie Lankford of this county.

   Besides Mrs. Blythe he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. E.K. Blythe of 
Sedley; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Mrs. 
Susie Turner of Franklin; and a half-brother, Livy Beale, also of Franklin.

   Funeral services for Mr. Lankford were conducted in the chapel of W.J.M. 
Holland & Sons on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock by Revs. Elmer N. Hassell 
and W.A. Grissom, followed by interment in the family cemetery near Franklin. 

   The pallbearers were Arthur Carr, Elijah J. Joyner, J.D. Owen, Harvey 
Lankford, Sr., Reginald R. Lankford and V.C. Lankford, Sr.

Ollie's mother Jane (b. ca. 1840, Isle of Wight Co., dt/o Jordan & Elizabeth 
   BRADSHAW) 2m. 21 May 1871 widower Gilbert BEALE (BEAL, BEEL).

Oliver appears in the 1880 Census, age 10, stepson, in Gilbert's household.
