All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ CHARLES RUFUS LUNDQUIST Charles Rufus Lundquist, a well-known farmer and good citizen of the Sunbeam community, this county, died February 23, 1927, after a brief illness. Mr. Lunquist was born in Courtland, Va., in 1866, and had spent the greater part of his life in the Sunbeam community. He was an honest and unassuming man, a consistent Christian and one of the founders of Sunbeam Baptist Church where he held his membership. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ida V. Lundquist; one son, J.P. Lundquist; three daughters, Mrs. E.W. Drake, Jr., Misses Alma and Virginia Lundquist, all of the home community. Funeral services were conducted from Sunbeam Church by the Pastor, Dr. G.H. Oliver, assisted by Rev. L.F. Paulette of Holland and interment was made in the cemetery at Sycamore Baptist Church.
