LAWRENCE Funeral services for Charles Owen Lawrence, 72, retired vice president of the Charles W. Priddy Co., who died at his home. 1012 Shirley Avenue, Norfolk, on Thursday, August 9, were conducted at the graveside in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, Saturday at 11 a.m. Well known in Norfolk, Mr. Lawrence was a native of Franklin, the son of the late Mills Edward and Mrs. Josephine Pruden Lawrence. He had been a resident of Norfolk for 55 years. Mr. Lawrence came to the Charles W. Priddy Co., after graduation from Eastman Business College, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. He was made treasurer and then secretary-treasurer and senior vice president. He retired August 1, 1955. Besides his wife, Mrs. Laurie Simmons Lawrence, he is survived by two sons, Charles O. Lawrence, Jr., and William S. Lawrence of Norfolk; four sisters, Mrs. W.B. Sykes and Misses Virgie and Doris Lawrence of Franklin and Mrs. Winfield Jackley of Chicago; two brothers, Richard and David Lawrence of Franklin, and one grandchild.
