LAWRENCE FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Miss Doris C. Lawrence was conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were W.R. Atkinson Jr., Leary Appleby, Roy Edwards, Charles O. Lawrence Jr., James F. Lawrence, Dick Keeter, Clyde Eley and Edward F. Gilliam. Miss Lawrence, 68, died Saturday night in Southampton Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was a daughter of Mills Edward and Mrs. Josephine Pruden Lawrence. A native of Franklin, she was a member of Franklin Baptist Church and its Woman’s Missionary Union. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Winfield C. Jackley of Chicago; and a brother, David Thomas Lawrence of Franklin. Doris C.
