LAWRENCE Mrs. Irene Beale Lawrence, 81, well known resident of Franklin, died at Raiford Memorial Hospital Wednesday afternoon, July 4, at 2 o'clock, after having a severe heart attack earlier in the day. Mrs. Lawrence was the widow of Jonas Elisha Lawrence of Franklin, and the daughter of the late Carr and Selina Beale of Southampton County. She was one of the oldest members of Franklin Congregational Baptist Church and the Ladies Aid Society of the church. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Helen Irene Lawrence of Franklin and Mrs. Catherine Lawrence Brown of Richmond, and two grandchildren, Henry Beale Lawrence, Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Marion L. Sellers of Pass Christian, Miss. Funeral services will be conducted from the home, 611 N. High Street, Friday at 4 p.m. by Rev. Harvey L. Carnes, pastor of Franklin Congregational Christian Church.
