At the time of his seizure he was in the home of Robert L. Barnes of Handsom, whom he had been visiting for several days. A member of Mt. Horeb Methodist Church, Mr. Mack was a son of the late Charlie L. and Nannie Story Mack. He was a veteran of World War I, being among the contingent of county men who left Courtland on May 27, 1918, and serving in France for about a year. Surviving are a brother Charlie L. Mack, Jr., of Newsoms; and three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Crowder and Mrs. Mattie Story of Franklin and Mrs. Willie Butler of Roanoke Rapids, N.C. Funeral services for Mr. Mack were conducted in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland and Sons on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. J.W. Turner, pastor of High Street Methodist Church. Interment was in the Mt. Horeb Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were H.T. Beale, Robert Beale, Edward Crowder, Junior Crowder, Ashby Story, and George Story.
