McFarlane, 58, a native of Humbolt, Minn., and a brother of Mrs. Martin O. Wagenbach of 203 [sic*] High Street, died unexpectedly yesterday afternoon at the residence. He had suffered ill health for many months, being confined to his bed since coming to Franklin in September, 1954. He was the son of the late James A. and Anne Elizabeth Harborn McFarlane of Ontario, Canada. Besides Mrs. Wagenbach, he is survived by another sister, Mrs. Arvid Orn of Barron, Wis., and a number of nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the funeral home of W.J.M. Holland and Sons of Franklin and this afternoon sent to Barron, Wis., for funeral services on Friday. D.Cert. 29632 (Franklin #107) gives div.; stabbed self in left chest & heart with a hunting knife, 303 High St. He m. Alpha ELLEFSON 1 Jun 1927 in Rusk Co., WI. His parents are buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Hallock, Kittson Co., MN. His sister Nellie M. (McFARLANE; Mrs. Martin O.) WAGENBACH is buried in Poplar Spring Cemetery (Annex 3, Section B, Plot 29), Franklin.
