ELIZABETH HARRISON MAGETTE 

   FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Mrs. Elizabeth Harrison Magette was 
conducted in Oakwood Cemetery, Lawrenceville, Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. by the 
Rev. Robert E. Davis of Emanuel Episcopal Church and the Rev. Matkins Taylor 
of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Lawrenceville.  W.J.M. Holland and Sons 
Funeral Director was in charge.

   Pallbearers were A.S. Harrison, Henry Turnbull, Charles Allison, Richard 
Forrester, J.R. Bondurant and William Laffon.

   Mrs. Magette, 27, of 415 N. High St., Franklin, died Tuesday at 9 a.m. in 
Southampton Memorial Hospital of injuries she suffered in a one car accident 
1 ½ miles east of Courtland Monday at 8:30 p.m.

   A native of Richmond, she lived in Franklin about two years.  She was a 
member of Emanuel Episcopal Church and its afternoon Circle.  She was also 
a member Southampton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

   The Southampton County Sheriff’s Department said Mrs. Magette was driving 
east from here toward Franklin on the newly finished surface of U.S. 58 when 
her car swerved onto the right shoulder of the highway, then cut back across 
the lanes and stuck a poplar head on.  She was in the car alone.

   Surviving are her husband, Kindred Pope Magette, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. 
W. Goodrich Harrison of Lawrenceville.
