A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She was the widow of John D. McClenny and a daughter of Milton and Sarah Beale Bailey. She is survived by a son, Lonnie J. McClenny, and a daughter, Miss Garrie McClenny, both of Carrsville; a brother, W.J. Bailey of Suffolk; and a sister, Mrs. L.R. Griffin of Carrsville. A funeral service was conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home by Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, Jr., of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Burial in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Wilson Holland, C.G. Glover, Dr. C.C. Crossland, Leslie Jernigan, Willie Lee Bradshaw and D.C. Blythe.
