Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Thomas L. Perry, Rayland Duck, D.C. Blythe, Jerome Goodrich, Winkie Howell and Wayne Goodrich. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was retired from Union Camp Corp. He was the husband of Mrs. Helen Storey McClenny and a son of John D. and Mrs. Essie Mae Bailey McClenny. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, Walters Ruritan Club, and Franklin Camp of Woodmen of the World. Besides his widow, surviving is a sister, Mrs. Garrie McClenny Martin of Carrsville.
