LEONARD ARCHIE McLEAR

   Franklin - Funeral services for Leonard Archie McLear, 81, were held Thursday 
at 2 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery by Dr. R.E. Brittle.

   He died Wednesday in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

   He was a native of Augusta County and the husband of the late Mrs. Elizabeth 
Carpenter McLear. He was a lifelong Presbyterian. He was a retired merchant, 
having formerly owned and operated Hunterdale Supply Co.  He was a member of 
Hunterdale Ruritan Club.

   Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Johan McLear Moore of Franklin.
